Diving from Caribbaway

Underwater walls stretching almost 7,000 vertical feet down, allows an assortment of sea creatures to pass. These include the migrating Humpback Whales, Spotted Eagle Rays, Manta Rays, Turtles and Dolphins. 

Due to the small population of the Islands and its careful eco management programs, pollution has been kept to a minimum allowing excellent visibility (up to 200 feet), pristine reefs, abundant tropical flora and fauna, fish and other marine life.

Sea Temperature at the surface in summer is around 82 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.

Beach Comb and Explore the beaches in Providenciales

Each beach has a different vista and it is worth exploring some of the other beaches on the Island.

Grace Bay Beach is the busiest as this is where all the Hotels are.  Go for a drink at Happy Hour and walk along the sand at Sunset.  Or book a table at one of the restaurants which offer dining on the Sand (we can let you know which ones we like the best).

Whale Watching in Turks & Caicos

From February to April whale-watching adventures are a big draw to this unique destination.

Every year the extraordinary humpback whales make there 1500 mile migrating journey from New England in December towards the Turks & Caicos Islands and beyond.

Island Hopping in Turks & Caicos

There are numerous boat and sailing trips on offer to enable you to explore the close net family of islands (many of which are uninhabited). Trips usually include the opportunity to snorkel, an opportunity not to be missed in this world renowned diving area. 

Alternatively take to the skies in a small light aircraft from where the views of the Islands and the reefs are just stunning.

Horse Back Riding in Providenciales

Horse back riding, organised by Provo Ponies, the Turks & Caicos local horse riding school, is also something not to be missed during your stay.  Rides take place mid morning and early evening and come along the beach and past the house.

Fishing around Providenciales

Go fishing the depths of the Atlantic Ocean for blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, grouper, snapper or experience some of the best bone fishing in the world. 

There are many operators on the Provo island which organize half day and full day excursions, leaving the island daily. Or with you can try it yourself from the house after purchasing a fishing licence.

Bonefish and tarpon frequent the clear shallow waters of the great bank, offering a spectacular challenge for savvy fly fishermen. The guides know the waters and understand how to sneak up on the elusive schools of bonefish ever so carefully. Hooking a tarpon can be quite an experience and many a fisherman has dreamed of finding them in such abundance.

Golf in the Turks & Caicos

Providenciales not only boasts some of the world’s most spectacular beaches, but it’s also home to one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. Conveniently located only minutes away from Caribbaway it’s a must for any golf enthusiast.

Cruise around Providenciales and Grand Turk, or head out to one of the small islands or cays where you’re likely to be the only human inhabitants for miles.

Alternatively what about renting a small boat? Available at a number of local marinas close to Caribbaway. Take command of the helm and set your own course for fun and excitement on the beautiful Caribbean seas.

Natural Environment

Little Water Cay (iguana island): the Island of Little Water Cay is a nature reserve and home to the Country’s endemic rock iguanas.  The Cay is easily accessed by several boat tour operators from Leeward Marina.

Visit the other beaches on the Island or take the ferry on a day trip to North or Middle Caicos to visit the Plantations and Caves.
